(Via Newsarama) The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes slated for a 2011 release on NickToons.
Looks like they have a good team line-up, but I can’t say I really enjoy the design. The Wasp looks disgusting.
“This new ensemble series tracks perfectly with our highly anticipated ‘road to the Avengers’ strategy which includes some of Marvel’s biggest and most beloved characters, and which kicks off with two Avengers’ themed feature films in summer 2011.”
2 feature films?
I know The Avengers have been getting their due lately, between The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, the “Disassembled” and “Civil War” mega-events, etc. But it makes me happy that some of Marvel’s properties that aren’t Spider-Man and Wolverine are getting the spotlight after about 40 years.
I think Wasp looks alright, though she’s the biggest departure from the source material; it’s Iron Man that looks a bit peculiar to me.
And the two films in 2011 are Captain America: The First Avenger and The Avengers.
Hehe, they beat me to it. I was gonna post this.
What’s with Iron Man’s eyes?
Best of 2008: Thor
Forsooth! Was thy Odinson’s return uninteresting this year?
I say thee nay!
J. Michael Straczynski’s writing on the Asgardian God of thunder has been the finest on the character since Dan Jurgens’ run on the book a decade ago.
