I’m starting at 1986I’ve been following these podcasts and they’re real solid. Also, they’ve confirmed two things for me:
- Hip hop really got itself together in ‘89
- Hip hop fell apart in ‘95
Someone seriously needs to edit/refix ALL of Notorious B.I.G.’s catalogue without fucking Puff Daddy going “yeah”, “uhh”, or “alright” in the background.
I’d listen to Biggie much more often if this were the case.
